Latest Update 08/12/2019
Welcome to the second 14th @ Irving Construction Update!
Every two weeks, we will send out a "two -week look-ahead" of the planned construction at our site. We hope that these updates help our neighbors and community stay up-to-date on the progress of our work. If you have questions, concerns, or want more information, please feel free to reach out to us at email@example.com or (810) 279-0213.
Week of 8/12/19 – 8/16/19
The project has received demolition sign off and has submitted for the New Building (NB) permit with the Department of Buildings (DOB). We expect for it to be issued imminently. This week will be focused on mobilization of the foundation contractor’s equipment and machinery. After our permit is issued, the foundation contractor will prepare the site to ensure efficiency. They will be using excavators to load excess construction debris into dump trucks. The north fence along 14th Street will be modified to allow for a 30’ gate in the middle of the fence in addition to the existing gate location. We will mitigate any potential impacts to pedestrian and vehicular traffic with a full flagging operation and we will adhere to all pedestrian safety requirements.
Week of 8/19/19 through 8/23/19
The south side fence, located in the rear yard of the site, will be relocated 5’ further back from its existing location. This will allow excavation to commence and the site will remain closed off and protected. The foundation contractor will begin general site excavation beginning on the south side to remove original foundation walls. Trucks will continue to remove remaining construction debris and newly excavated soil. There will be full flagging operation in order to mitigate any potential impacts to pedestrian and vehicular traffic and we will adhere to all pedestrian safety requirements.
