Week of 6/17/19 through 6/21/19

The demolition team will continue with roof level structural demolition. Using Bobcat machines with hammer attachments, the demolition team will continue to remove the roof slab and walls. Water will be continuously sprayed on all areas being demolished in order to minimize any dust produced from the work in conformance with all applicable guidelines and permits. Once the concrete is removed from areas, the team will use torches to cut the steel deck and beams. All material from the roof level demolition will be brought to the second-floor controlled access zone and then through the “chute” in the building to be removed via disposal trucks. A fire watch will be on site and monitoring all burning work in conformance with all applicable permits and guidelines.

Concurrently with the demolition of the roof level demolition teams will focus on the exterior wall demolition. Using hand demolition techniques, the brick façade will be demolished and brought to the ground level floor to be removed via disposal truck. This work will be done primarily from scaffolding and personnel lifts.

In addition, we will begin 2nd floor slab structural demolition with Bobcat machines and hammer attachments. Water will be continuously sprayed on all areas being demolished in order to minimize any dust produced from the work in conformance with all applicable guidelines and permits.
